Dear Friends,

One year ago, we were thrilled to announce the resumption, reformulation, and expansion of the McGregor Fund’s Eugene A. Miller Fellowship Program, along with a cohort of nine amazing Fellows.

Today, we are just as excited to announce the 2024 cohort of eight new, equally inspiring Miller Fellows. Please read on to learn more about these remarkable leaders who exemplify service, express their love of community every day, and guide us to envision a more just and joyful world.

The Miller sabbatical program proudly supports our grant partners’ CEOs and executive directors to take extended time away from their organizations to tend to self-care.  They may choose to rest, spend more time with family and friends, immerse themselves in enriching experiences, build skills and knowledge, feed their soul, broaden their horizons – really, whatever they need, according to a plan of their own design.

For us, what sets this year apart from last year is what we’ve learned in the interim from our partners.  We thought we understood how much sector leaders were feeling burned out and desperate to take a pause, and how hard it was for them to step away.   But honestly, we barely understood.

Therefore, in the coming months, we will be sharing our partners’ insights in their own voices.  We believe they need to be heeded.

But for today, congratulations and gratitude from the McGregor board and team to this year’s Fellows!

Looking forward,
