On May 16, the McGregor Fund’s Heidi Alcock participated in a panel discussion entitled Investing in Rest alongside other nonprofit advocates and leaders addressing burnout and “imagining a more rested and just future for ourselves, our sector, and our communities.”
The panel was held during the Rest Forum, led by Michigan Community Resources and sector partners, “a day of discussion and reflection on the systems that keep nonprofit leaders from thriving.”
From MCR: “Nonprofit leaders, especially leaders of small nonprofits and grassroots organizations, are facing unprecedented rates of burnout and overwhelm. We as a sector must come together and identify ways to shift norms for our sector and ourselves.”
Read the Rest and Liberation Initiative Report for “recommendations for the nonprofit sector to make rest and liberation more accessible sector-wide.”
