Detroit Philanthropy’s “Meeting the Moment: How Funders and Nonprofits Can Work Together” event was a welcome opportunity for McGregor Fund President Kate Levin Markel to speak candidly on what our partners are already experiencing and the severe challenges they anticipate facing in the near future.
We were grateful to witness the wisdom and experiences shared by our fellow panelists, Mary Culler, Ford Philanthropy President; Neel Hajra, CEO Michigan Health Endowment Fund; and, in particular, Rachel Decker, CEO of Detroit Philanthropy. We also thank Senator Gary Peters for his stark assessment of what our sector, and nation, are up against and how we must respond, together.
